Becoming a Mentor
03
Online video interviews will be conducted by the SWIYA Committee.
If you have been selected to proceed to this stage, you will receive a form to schedule this time.
Be prepared to explain how you will interact with our young authors and any other ideas you have going into the SWIYA program as a mentor.
04
Application status notification will be emailed to you as soon as a decision is reached.
If the number of young authors, who are being accepted around the same time as mentors, exceeds the number of mentors we accept initially, be prepared to jump right in even if you were initially declined the position as a member of the waitlist!
On the other hand, we may have to decline you the position if there are more mentors who we accept than young authors who applied.
