Painting a Picture of the Past
Please join us for Painting a Picture of the Past: Writing & Illustrating Historical Fiction with Ilona Holland and Judy Love. Ilona and Judy will present briefly on their experiences writing and illustrating historical fiction, respectively, and later share tips and strategies for you to get started on your own journey of becoming an author or illustrator of historical fiction!

Shayna will be sharing her experiences with her diagnosis, the mental and emotional challenges facing this diagnosis, how she turned to writing, and what led her to co-write a forthcoming book with author Nancy Churnin. There will be time for an open Q&A following this brief presentation.

My name is Maddy Kidd and I am in the class of 2024, studying Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Hi my name is Drew Cheng, I am a Neuroscience concentrator who loves creative writing. I have interacted with kids at Boston Children's Hospital doing congenital epilepsy research, I would really love to be able to interact in other ways and help them create things that bring them joy :).
