Happy Kids with Books

We are...

young authors, not patients.

The Storywish Inspiring Young Authors (SWIYA) program is an entirely virtual storybook writing experience created to help your child find their voice as a creative young author.

We are dedicated to inspiring children aged 10 to 17 affected by physical critical or chronic illnesses to express themselves through writing their very own storybook under the close mentorship of a student.

Trusted Partners

We partner with amazing local medical centers at the chapter level to introduce prospective young authors and their families to SWIYA.

Amazing Mentors

Mentors are accepted after a rigorous selection process. They have signed HIPAA forms, attended training, and will be best buddies with your child.

Cool Swag

After four weeks of online video calls from Jan-April depending on your local chapter, you are done! You will get two printed copies of the storybook to share with friends and family and a Storywish T-shirt.
