social
Plans all events for Storywish to help build community in the organization and beyond with the young authors, organizing fun outings, speaker events, and more.
outreach
Point of contact for all of our partner medical centers and works to expand our outreach to give even more children the opportunity to participate in SWIYA. Also instrumental to recruiting new members and mentors on campus to Storywish.
finance
Keeps Storywish and SWIYA financially sound by applying for grants, managing the budget, and keeping track of all transactions.
publicity
Spreads the word about events and SWIYA by designing and sharing cool graphics on our social media accounts and the website, which publicity also manages.
SWIYA
Runs the day-to-day management of our flagship program from start to finish, reviewing applications for mentors and young authors in the fall and monitoring storybook progress in the spring.
StoryWish runs as a student organization for the full academic year. Each of our college branches are granted a great deal of autonomy in managing their own logistics, from recruiting new members/mentors/young authors, running of our flagship SWIYA program, nominating their own committee members, keeping track of funds, and partnering with local hospitals. Running the SWIYA Program takes a big heart and commitment to improving the quality of life for our young authors!
If you are a high school student interested in participating, we are humbled to hear of your interest. However, at this time, we will not be taking applications to create new high school branches and instead suggest that you reach out to your local college SWIYA Branch to inquire about opportunities. We will do our best to accommodate you!
Check out our existing chapter pages to read more about how they make the magic of the SWIYA program happen! Feel free to directly reach out to if you have any questions.
